Planning considering priorities

Un proyecto de desarrollo puede implicar decenas de tareas, pero no todas con la misma importancia. Algunas pueden bloquear la funcionalidad del producto y otras pueden ser menos relevantes.

Planear teniendo en cuenta las prioridades

Priorizar la relevancia de una tarea por encima de otras será muy importante para optimizar tus estimaciones.

• If you planned a project with an estimation of 300 days, and your customer says he needs the product in 90 days. What would you do?
• Go back and prioritize your stories with the client. The client is responsible for selecting the most relevant user stories, it’s his decision.
• You should have a meeting with your client, lay out all the user stories, and ask him about the order of the priorities.
• Then select the set of features to be delivered in milestone 1.0

Qué son los hitos de un proyecto

Los hitos de un proyecto son puntos muy importantes de entrega general de un producto.

• A milestone is a major release.
• You deliver your software (and you expect to get paid for it).
• This is different from iterations because during an iteration you show your customer the software for your feedback.
• A milestone is about delivering software with baseline functionality.
• Don’t try to include fancy functions, instead focus on delivering software that will cover baseline functions.
