Las cláusulas suplementarias complementan con más información relacionada con el sustantivo de la oración. Este tipo de cláusulas entregan color o acción a la oración principal, pero requieren modificar al sustantivo o pronombre a la que hacen referencia.
Normalmente, estas cláusulas son introducidas utilizando gerundios (Verb + ing).
Las cláusulas suplementarias responden la pregunta: How + verb? Explican cómo se hizo determinada cosa, porque medio y ponen el foco en otra acción.
