Have to sirve para hablar acerca de una obligación que aún tienes opción a realizarla, es decir, no es obligatoria de cumplir.
Para utilizar have to en una oración para referirse a una obligación es necesario tener en cuenta lo siguiente:
(?) Did you have to do your homework?
(-) No, I didn’t
(?) Did you have to do the laundry?
(+) Yes, I had to.
(?) Did you have to finish your project?
(+) Yes, I had to.
(?) Did you have to wash the dishes?
(+/-) Yes, but I didn’t do them and now my mom is upset.
