  • It seems like she didn’t get enough sleep.
  • It seems that she didn’t get enough sleep.

Ambos son correctos y expresan lo mismo. Pero, debes tener en cuenta que la palabra “that” solo podemos utilizarla con el pronombre “it”. Decir “She seems that” o “They seem that” es gramáticamente incorrecto.

  • She seems like she didn’t get enough sleep.
  • She seems that she didn’t get enough sleep. (Incorrecto)

Lo mismo ocurre con la palabra “appear”, solo podemos utilizar “that” con el pronombre “it”.

Veamos algunos ejemplos con “appear”:

  • It appeared like they were going to win the game.
  • It appeared that they were going to win the game.
  • They appeared like they were going to win the game.
  • They appeared that they were going to win the game. (Incorrecto)

  • Your family looks like they know how to have a good time.
  • It looked like he was going to make it over.
