A veces tenemos la necesidad de repetir lo que otra persona ha dicho. Ya sea porque estamos de acuerdo con su idea, o debemos retransmitir su mensaje a otras personas.
Repetir lo que otra persona ha dicho puede sernos muy útil en situaciones donde queremos transmitir una idea que no es nuestra. Para lograrlo, podemos utilizar la forma “Verb (past) + to Verb (infinitive)”.
Veamos una serie de verbos en infinitivo que puedes usar para retransmitir mensajes:

Veamos algunos ejemplos retransmitiendo mensajes:
Mensaje original | Retransmisión |
---|---|
Obama: -”I will improve healthcare.” | Obama promised to improve health care. |
Marta: -”I hope we win the match.” | Marta hopes to win the match. |
Salesman: -“I can give you a 5% discount.” | The salesman offered to lower the price 5%. |
Judge: -“I need to see the evidence.” | The judge demanded to see the evidence. |
