Programming vocabulary

  • Programming Languages: is a computer language engineered to create a standard form of commands. These commands can be interpreted into a code understood by a machine.
  • Features: a notable property of a device or software application.
  • Develop: to (cause something to) grow or change into a more advanced, larger, or stronger form
  • Sites: an internet location where information relating to a specific subject or group of subjects can be accessed
  • Programs: provide (a computer or other machine) with coded instructions for the automatic performance of a task.
  • Algorithms: a process or set of rules to be followed in calculations or other problem-solving operations, especially by a computer.
  • Scope: the area covered by an activity, topic, etc;
  • Steps: a stage in a process
  • Flowchart: a diagrammatic representation of the sequence of operations or equipment in an industrial process, computer program, etc
  • Graphical Representation: the plot of the points in the plane which constitute the graph of a given real function or a pictorial diagram depicting interdependence of variables. Also known as graph.
  • Syntax: the set of rules needed to construct valid expressions or sentences in a language.
  • General-purpose: having a range of uses or applications; not restricted to one function
  • Backend: relating to the part of a software system or online service that the user does not interact with and that is usually accessible only to programmers or administrators
  • Web projects: is the process of developing and creating a Web site, activities in a network which are aimed at a pre-defined goal
  • HTML: a markup language used to structure text and multimedia documents and to set up hypertext links between documents, used extensively on the World Wide Web.
  • High-level: relating to, or being a language, such as BASIC or Pascal, in which each instruction or statement corresponds to several instructions in machine language. A high-level language is translated into machine language by a compiler.
  • Weakly-typed: is one that allows many operations without regard for whether they are defined for the types of the operands in question.
  • Interpreted Language: a programming language whose programs are typically executed by an interpreter.
  • Frameworks: it is an abstraction that a common code among several software projects provides generic functionality.
  • Libraries: is a collection of similar objects that are stored for occasional use - most frequently, programs in source code or object code form, data files, scripts, templates, fonts, and physical storage units such as tape cartridges.
  • Angular: is a platform and framework for building single-page client applications using HTML and TypeScript
  • React: is an open-source JavaScript library for building user interfaces.
  • Multiparadigm: supporting more than one programming paradigm, in order to allow the most suitable programming style for a task
  • Readable: easily read; legible
  • Indentation: the blank space between a margin and the beginning of an indented line.
  • Code blocks: is a lexical structure of source code which is grouped together.
  • Parenthesis: an interlude or interval.
  • Brackets: either of two symbols put around a word, phrase, or sentence in a piece of writing to show that what is between them should be considered as separate from the main part.
  • Coders: a person who writes code for computer programs.
  • Lines of code: the instructions a programmer writes when creating a program.
  • Open source: intellectual property, esp computer source code, that is made freely available to the general public by its creators
  • Productive: producing or capable of producing goods and services that have monetary or exchange value
  • Functional Programming: a type of computer programming in which functions are used to control the processing of logic.
  • Interpretative Programming: a program that translates and executes source language statements one line at a time. interpreter.
  • Object-oriented: using a methodology which enables a system to be modeled as a set of objects which can be controlled and manipulated in a modular manner.

Marketing Vocabulary

  • CPC - Cost Per Click: is an online advertising revenue model by which advertisers are charged by the publisher for each time a user clicks on an ad.
  • CPA - Cost Per Acquisition: is a marketing metric that measures the aggregate cost to acquire one paying customer on a campaign or channel level
  • LTV - LifeTime Value: is an estimate of the average revenue that a customer will generate throughout their lifespan as a customer.
  • MRR - Monthly Recurring Revenue: is the calculation of how much the company will receive monthly for subscriptions to use its products or services
  • Creative strategy: the outline prepared by the creative team of an advertising agency for the launch of a campaign or advertising message.
  • Demographics: statistical data relating to the population and particular groups within it.
  • Campaign Traffic: the ad campaigns, search engines, social networks, and other sources that send users to your property are collectively known as campaigns and traffic sources
  • Impressions: are when an advertisement or any other form of digital media renders on a user’s screen.
  • Strategic Market Planning: reviews both long-term and short-term objectives that the company wants to meet. The strategic marketing plan also takes into consideration the current financial position of the company as well as trends in the marketplace.
  • Content Strategy: refers to the planning, development, and management of content— written or in other media.
  • Google Adwords: is Google’s main advertising service
  • Facebook Ads: is Facebook’s main advertising service
  • Channels: are the means used by companies to reach their potential customers
  • Audience: the person or persons who are receiving a transmitted marketing or informational message.
  • Convert: cause to change in form, character, or function.
  • Display: any form of *merchandising combined with the use of *posters, *billboards, or other similar formats
  • Customer Persona: allows brands to better understand these homogenous groups, and to recognise key traits within them.
  • Age: the length of time that a person has lived or a thing has existed.
  • Service: the action of helping or doing work for someone.
  • Social media: websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking.
  • Benefits: an advantage or profit gained from something.
  • Business: is work relating to the production, buying , and selling of goods or services.
  • Invest: provide or endow someone or something with (a particular quality or attribute).
  • Search: to look into or over carefully or thoroughly in an effort to find or discover something.
  • Blog posts: a piece of writing or other item of content posted on a blog.
  • Email marketing: the use of email to promote a business’s products and services
  • Promotions: the publication of a product, organization, or venture so as to increase sales or public awareness.
  • Discounts: a deduction from the usual cost of something, typically given for prompt or advance payment or to a special category of buyers.
  • Updates: make (something) more modern or up to date.
  • Killer campaigns: a very successful campaign.
