Business meeting

Vas a escuchar a dos personas teniendo una conversación sobre negocios. La idea es que puedas identificar la mayor cantidad de vocabulario y temas estudiados. ¡Pon atención para responder las preguntas!

Guest: Hi Cesar, welcome to Core Ideas. Are you ready?
Cesar: Hello, Jhon. Yes, I am.
Guest: Would you like something to drink? Maybe some coffee, or water.
Cesar: Sure. Either is fine.
Guest: There you go. So, Cesar, tell me a little about you and why you are interested in the internship position.
Cesar: Well, as I told you the last time we had the opportunity to talk, I believe that starting my career path in such a recognized company will open many doors, and I’d love to have the opportunity to put into practice everything I’ve been learning during the past four years.
Guest: Great. You are about to start your last semester, aren’t you?
Cesar: Yes. That’s correct.
Guest: And is there anything you would like to tell me about you, that makes you a better option than all the other candidates?
Cesar: Uhm… This summer, I took an extra credit course while most of the other students were on vacation. My mom even asked me if it was worth it, and I can tell you it was.
Guest: That’s good to know. Not all students do that. It’s necessary to have some extracurricular activities when you’re interested in a position like this.
Cesar: That’s what I thought. I could either stay at home or think about my future and sacrifice a few weeks from my vacations for something bigger.
Guest: As you know, we are a multinational company, and whether you end up working with us or not, being selected as a finalist is already a big step. You are on the right path. Is there anything you would like to ask me before we finish?
Cesar: I just want to know what the next steps are.
Guest: Each candidate must have some paperwork prepared while we finish the interviews and we’ll let you know what our final answer is. You can ask the secretary about the documents you need to bring. Sandra and Joe haven’t given you the list yet, have they? There was a misunderstanding about that with the previous candidate.
Cesar: No, neither of them has. I’ll ask them on my way out. And thank you again for the opportunity.
Guest: Sure. Pleasure to see you again. Have a good one.
Cesar: You too. Bye.
